Who was your favorite teacher?

My favorite teacher was Ms. Valerie Christmas. She was my 5th grade teacher. I actually reconnected with her this year. She joined me on the first day of  PD for the 2023-2024 school year and she shared words of wisdom with my staff.

What is your favorite subject?

My favorite subject is mathematics because it is the universal language and I love problem-solving.

What you love about your job?

Intentionally investing in children is my outward expression of gratitude to God and my village for investing in me. I stand on the shoulders of giants and I humbly position myself to allow others to stand on my shoulders. I love that I get to serve at Welsh because the teachers and staff are fully committed to doing whatever it takes for our children.

What you like to do outside of school?

Outside of school, I love taking long walks on nature trails to meditate on God's word and experience His beautiful creations.

Your favorite quote or motto?

My favorite quote is a verse from the bible. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33) and Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her. (Luke 1:45)
